Soulbbatical —September 18, 9-4

September 25, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

A Day to Revive Your Spirit and Re-ignite Your Passion for Life and Work

At some point in our lives we all feel overworked and exhausted, in need of change, yet feeling stuck. Our pattern of over-giving leaves us with little left for ourselves. The good news is–there’s help. The timeless practice of a sabbatical provides a critical period of rest and re-creation so that we can be even more creative and effective. Sabbatical is a preventive approach to burn-out that nurtures body, mind and spirit.

Plan to unplug and recharge with Trina Stutzman of Freedom Coaching for a daylong soul-bbatical here on the peaceful grounds of Copper House. Along with like-minded people eager to grow personally and professionally, you will ignite your sense of vitality, enabling you to continue your sabbatical for months to come.

Your transformation begins the moment you enter the grounds at Copper House. We’ll gather around the fire pit for a light breakfast where Trina will guide a conversation focused on the importance of rest, offering strategies to help you make it a priority.

The second half of the morning is set aside for your personal reflection and re-charging: sit by a stream or walk through the woods, read in a comfy chair by the fire, journal at a table in the outdoor kitchen with a cup of tea, disappear into the meditation loft, practice yoga, build a rock cairn at the nearby stream, knit, or delve into some creative project you “haven’t had time” for.

We will gather at noon in the outdoor kitchen where I’ll be serving a seasonal,  sumptuous lunch. Like all meals at Copper House, it’s created and served with a deep conviction that when people sit down and eat together, good things happen.

After lunch, we’ll take a short walk through the woods and let the healing power of nature wash over us as we take in its sounds, scents, and sights. We’ll return to our personal recharging—on your own or by participating in a small group activity like cooking, gardening, or hiking.

With a mid-afternoon cup tea and a sweet treat in hand, we’ll come back together to reflect on the day and ponder how to incorporate more rest and soul-bbatical into our lives.
